The Accounting/Finance/Business Manager will utilize education and experience to conduct analysis, resolve complicated issues, establish and manage financial processes and reports. 65 Financial Management, reporting, planning, budget development/monitor, analysis for variance, reconciliation, a/r management. Designing and managing high quality reporting tools, interpreting and understanding their impact(s) to the organization and significance to operational success. Contracts and/or grant mgmt. and reporting. Managing revenue projections, manage departmental financial projections. Develops complex reporting, linked spreadsheets, pivot tables. Develops presentations in PowerPoint, articulates financial and administrative concepts to Faculty audiences. Conducts property and other audits. Develops and manages projections and forecasts. Assists with long term planning, reporting and review as related to Department, COM and UAMS goals and objectives. Production and management of board quality reports.20 Operations management, Leadership and process improvement: capital items, replacement schedules, assist with space allocation planning, comparative analysis and benchmarking. Faculty pay amounts and incentives, assures compliance and accuracy of amounts paid. Analysis of faculty compensation amounts and methodologies. Develops analysis mechanisms regarding faculty productivity and FTE . Monitors faculty FTE and assignments, maintains up to date FTE sheets and reconciles to funding sources.10 Compliance review and approval : purchasing, travel, payroll, faculty and provider incentives; funding allocations. Website maintenance, professionalism of grammar and content. Account compliance and management review. Conducts audits as needed. Establishes and monitors standardized processes and tools. Manages all department network files in logical and organized order.5 : Special projects and duties as assigned : Including but not limited to: ACH staffing/space projects, Electronic document storage improvement and solutions; Managing Foundation accounts, Endowments and various billings. Works with divisions to manage various accounts and funding sources. Works with service lines in cooperative and collegial manner to achieve goals.Advanced duties and communications with Stakeholders, Faculty, UAMS, COM, ACH, VA, WCRI and Department leadership, preparation of plans and offer letters as needed and other complex communications needing a professional level product. Ability to understand and effectively manage accruals and advanced financial Management concepts. Participates as part of the Surgery management team. Communicates with senior Department leadership in a professional manner. Composes professional quality letters and requests, is able to express complex concepts in writing.Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor degree in business, finance, accounting, healthcare administration or a related field; plus 3 years of financial management and analysis experience.1 year in a leadership capacityCritical thinking skills, with the ability to use analytical thought processes to resolve complex problems.A self:starter with high self:accountability and performance municates professionally, accurately, and dependably.Excellent excel skills including development of charts, graphs, and pivot tables.Experience preparing PowerPoint presentations, embedding self:prepared charts and graphs. Preferred Qualifications:Three yearsA? experience in Healthcare, Academic, or public sector financial management.Experience with HR concepts including, but not limited to performance and change management.Two yearsA? experience using ERP systems software and reporting such as SAP, Peoplesoft, Lawson, Etc.Experience working with restricted funding sources such as contracts and/or grants.
