This position will report to the Director of Finance but will also work closely with the CFO and our product teams to ensure vendors are paid timely and transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger. The successful candidate will be willing and eager to take on new challenges and will work well in a team-oriented environment, ready to chip in on any project or task at a moment's notice. This is a junior-level role with day-to-day duties, but it will also have exposure to a variety of accounting areas as well as experience in establishing processes and controls for a rapidly growing company.Responsibilities:Perform daily tasks such as entering bank transactions and credit card expenses into our accounting softwarePreparation of general ledger entriesParticipate in the monthly close process and produce related reporting and analysisWork closely with the Director of Finance to manage vendor payments by assisting with the accounts payable process. This includes soliciting approvals, coordinating appropriate accounting treatment of accruals, prepaid and operating expenses, researching and resolving any payment questions, and preparing and processing vendor paymentsAssist with the accounts receivable process by invoicing customers, tracking and applying customer paymentsReconcile assigned balance sheet accountsAssist with payroll input and processingAd-hoc analysis of projects as assignedMaintenance and review of fixed asset accounts; preparation of property tax filingsAssist with the development of process improvements to promote departmental and organizational efficiencyRequired Skills:BS/BA Degree in Accounting2-4 years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of accounting fundamentals such as A/P, A/R, and G/LAbility to review and identify accurate data entry, correcting issues as neededGood analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detailAbility to meet deadlinesStrong communication skills; ability to break down complex concepts and clearly explain them internally and externallyAbility to interact with multiple departmentsKnowledge of Microsoft ExcelNice To Have Skills:Advanced knowledge of QuickBooksExperience with consolidating multiple entitiesExperience with accounting for foreign transactionsCompany Benefits:We offer a competitive salary, full benefit package that includes matching 401(k), and an open paid time off policy.
