GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe primary function of this position is to deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an appropriate Arkansas Federal Credit Union solution. In addition, this position is responsible for acting as teller, performing transactions on members accounts, balancing daily work, and other various transactions that require a thorough knowledge of Arkansas Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Welcome members and guests to the service center by utilizing Arkansas Federal Credit Unions Service Promises. Responsible for performing basic teller transactions such as: receiving deposits and loan payments, disbursing withdrawals by cash and check, selling money orders and cashier checks, to members and cashing checks for members. Responsible for processing transactions through the Share Branching Network (FSCC) for members of those credit unions. Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of Arkansas Federal Credit Union cross:selling financial services appropriate to each members personal financial needs, such as AFCU Retirement and Investment Services as appropriate. Responsible for proofing and balancing individual deposited checks throughout day. Responsible for ensuring all work is balanced at the end of the workday. Responsible for maintaining a professional working environment. Perform any other related duties as required or assignedQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training.
