**Overview**
**Position Summary**
The IT Analyst II serves as Subject Matters Experts (SMEs) on business applications used throughout the organization. This position will serve as a high level support of primarily in-house applications (some hosted application support maybe necessary) available to other associates, facilitating application support, end user administrative request, report writing, and overseeing the parameter settings of software in the Business Applications Department. When necessary, the IT Analyst II visits with front line associates and analyzes the day-to-day operations in order to get a better feel for their business needs. This position plays a lead role in creating, developing, and implementing business process management techniques to improve efficiencies.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Provides expertise and assistance on application developmental and workflow design.
+ Analyzes infrastructure and business processes for improvement in efficiencies.
+ Provides business units and management with enhancements to reporting capabilities from core applications and ancillary services as necessary.
+ Analyzes features of new releases and software upgrades while giving bank management recommendations for best possible implementation schedules.
+ Coordinates installation of new releases and software upgrades with Business Unit Managers, IT Managers, and/or Vendors.
+ Participates in a leading role on special projects as assigned by management.
+ Acquires and maintains application expertise through certification and educational programs.
+ Provides user support, including researching issues, determining options for resolution.
+ Complies with bank policies as applicable to this position.
+ Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Qualifications**

? **Skills**
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
+ Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures.
+ Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, public groups, board of directors, and the general public.
? **Education and/or Experience**
+ BS/BA Degree (four year) from an accredited university/college OR
+ Two to four years of experience as an Application Analyst.
? **Computer Skills**
+ MS Office programs? **Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)** o Strong oral and written communication skills.o Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.o Must have working knowledge of mid-range or mainframe computer operating systems (preferably AS400); software and workflow design preferred.o Must have microcomputer knowledge (use of database and Microsoft networking operating systems, documents, and spreadsheets.)o General banking knowledge preferred.
