The Access Coordinator II works under supervision and provides comprehensive support for the patient care activities. The Access Coordinator II position must be able to perform all duties of the Access Coordinator I level and performs other duties to support the patient care activities as needed. Salary offered commensurate to experience. Meets, greets, and assists the public, answers telephones in a professional and friendly manner.Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments using the hospital systems by performing visit notifications of patients; conducts pre:registration as needed; inputs and/or updates accurate patient information. Processes walk:ins, creates new patient charts, accesses systems for orders as appropriate. Conducts insurance verification and benefit explanation by running eligibility on patients, requesting outside records, and gathering outside medical records from referrals and files patient charts as needed. Inventories, orders, and stocks supplies; cleans and maintains equipment.Picks:up and delivers mail to mailroom.Ensure the waiting room is clean and well stocked.Performs ABN completion, schedules surgeries and/or tests.Issues school/work excuses, sends out no show letters, takes patient photos.Collects and posts payments and issues receipts and is responsible for reconciliation/management change fund, for reconciliation of daily deposit and batch dollars and must complete deposit agreement.May perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma/GED plus 2 years of customer service or health care puter/basic keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills, and general knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners required.Excellent Customer Service skills.Must be competent in Medical terminology within 3 months of hire.
