You will also record and review patient medical histories.Additional responsibilities and requirements of the Dental Hygienist include:Cleaning calcareous deposits, accretions and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins with dental instrumentsCharting conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentistMaintaining and sterilizing dental equipmentApplying fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to prevent dental decay Requirements:Ability to prepare dental equipment and instrumentsExcellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentationAbility to travel at minimum one time per quarter for training; potentially out of stateDentrix computer experience a plusExperience using Vizilite, Velscope and/or Diagnodent a plusExperience using electronic medical records a plusLeadership skillsAbility to work during the following hours: Tuesday through Thursday 7:30AM:5:00PM, Friday 8:00AM:5:00PMEducation:Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state for which you applyMinimum of an AssociateA?s degree in Dental Hygiene, BachelorA?s degree a plusCPR Certification
