The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) at the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) assists patients and family and interdisciplinary team through the care episode. His/Her primary duties, in addition to any discharge planning activities, include individual, group, and family therapy to the adult population; communicating with the patients; assisting in the development of a specific treatment plan that reflects the therapeutic intervention to address the patient need. The LMSW has strong clinical skills that integrate evidence based strategies; good verbal skills; solid and timely documentation skills; the ability to effectively manage stress; the ability to take initiative and make decisions for the betterment of the patientA?s needs while maintaining professional boundaries; the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals; and the ability to evaluate problems and identify a unique approach to treatment and other duties as assigned.
