The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.Work Hours: Fulltime position; 7:30A:4P, Monday through Friday (may vary with projects). Job Duties: The Registered Nurse Wound Ostomy Nurse works independently with others on the team to provide education, training, support, and clinical expertise for the management of wound and ostomy care in the acute and ambulatory setting.Required Experience: RN License, BSN with 5 years nursing experience and a minimum of 2 years WOCN and acute care experience; strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong computer skills with experience in Medical Record System, Clinical Documentation, and Quality Monitoring and Analysis. Preferred Experience: WOCN certification, Masters in Nursing or related field, 5 years nursing/leadership experience in an academic, acute care institution; certification in nursing specialty which may include, but not limited to, Nursing Administration (NEA:BC, NE:BC), Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP), Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nursing Professional Development (RN:BC), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), or Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality (CPHQ); knowledge in EPIC Medical Record System; internal candidate familiar with the organization.
